They weigh about 100lbs each with tires. Tire rotations had me looking like Rambo when I was a Cadillac tech.

Wheels are a critical mechanical component of a car. It’s important to keep those dubs chromed and clean, and to upgrade to a bigger (i.e. safer) wheel if you can afford it.

Paint is not a safety item.
